This role is with Brand Concepts Ltd., a well-known Fashion & Lifestyle Accessories retail entity and premier resource for licensed brand, Tommy Hilfiger in category – Travel Gear, such as Luggage Trolleys, Backpacks, Small Leather Goods like Belts & Wallets for both Men & Women, Women Handbags and Lifestyle accessories.

Position Summary

This role will be mainly to support the development of product and making the buying strategies effective for the brand.

    1. Finding factories/vendors and assessing them in terms of reliability, product quality, shipping
      speed and cost.
    2. Able to improve quality standards and develop products in line with market trends.
    3. Plan in terms of quantity and quality considering the data and trends of previous years and strategize accordingly to grow in the best way.
    4. Customer analysis: Analyzing consumer buying patterns, studying national and international trends, customer demand and predicting future trends for product categories.
    5. Cost Management: Costing, negotiation, planning MRPs and maintaining buying margin.
    6. Coordination: Verifying the import documents, coordinating with logistics and warehouse team to
      ensure shipment is done timely.
    7. Range Planning: At category, sub-category and option level according to seasonal merchandising
      plan.
    8. Product development/Buying: Determining prices per style after reviewing technical packs.
    9. Identifying and implementing new product range & style-wise planning for growth and
      profitability.
    10. Setting up alternative buying capacity for reduction in production cost.
    11. Selecting the vendors and negotiating with them.

    Preferred Candidate

    • 4-5 years of working exposure in handbags/luggage category.
    • Masters in any stream from NIFT/FDDI or any other.
